Historical Theology Society. A weekly gathering of
college-age students at my home to study theological texts.
We rotate readings twice a semester (early to
medieval/Reformation to modern church). Past readings
include the Didache, Ireneaus The Demonstration of Apostolic
Preaching, Augustine On Genesis, a sermon from
Thomas Aquinas, John Henry Newman on the development of
doctrine, S. T. Coleridge's Confessions of an Inquiring
Spirit, and Niebuhr's Christ and Culture. |
